Youth sailing is an 8-week sailing program held during school terms 2,3 and 4, with sessions held on Saturday mornings from 9:30am to 12:00 pm. The program is designed to introduce and develop sailing skills, including racing techniques. It is a social and fun program, with no long term commitment. It is designed for kids aged 12 to 17 years. The boats used are either Quests and/or Pacers, and are used due to their stability, versatility and the ease of handling. The program is led by teenage instructors who are qualified through Australian Sailing and are supported by experienced adult instructors. Safety is a top priority, with equipment including safety boats, radios, and lifejackets provided. The program follows the guidelines and standards set by Australian Sailing to ensure a safe and enjoyable learning environment. We ask that every family abides by the code of conduct.
